HA3 – Smartphone / Tablet App Concept Task 6

Task 1 - Produce a basic system to make the app work

• Few days of programming
• may need help by outsourcing

Risk: Always the risk of the base system breaking further down in development and then having to stop the development to work on it.

Task 2 - gain access to interactive map and allign with the system

• More programming
• 2 ways of gaining map - talk to a major company and get acces wto their map (e.g Bing or Google) or just copy already existing maps and updating them myself.

Risk: signing with a company might producing un helpful legal obligations, however copying a map adds the possibility of a lawsuit.

Task 3 - Create the teams system and to make people able to join

• research on how to do this and create it
• Linking up the app with facebook to make signing in easier and to help keep the score

Risk: Theres always a risk of the team system not working later in production and having to stop development.

Task 4 - Create design for the app

• Detailed logo design
• Button design
• Background                                                } Other artsists may be needed to produce better quality
• Icon
• Produce the overall layout for optimal usage

Risk: Outsourcing development might lead to unplanned costs or legal problems

Task 5 - Put the app into alpha then beta to get a good amount of testing

• find a few QA testers for apps
• Find a way to share the app for later testing

Risk: There might be a risk of the app being leaked by a tester.

Task 6 - Finish any unfinished work. finalise the project and update anything needed to be

•  Go over the finished work and make sure it all works
• add or fix anything that needs to be

Risk: Its very time consuming to do this. and might miss deadline

Task 7 - Put app on market place give it a good value and write out description

• Apply for the app to be placed on the market
• Make sure it is being sold at the right price

Risk: Timing is cruical as well as the price and how it looks online, if either of these is bad it wont sell as good as it should.

Task 8 - Keep updated with how the app is doing.

• Moniter the sales on the marketplace
• produce a forum for people to give feedback on how to improve the game

Risk: There is no risk, if anything theres the risk of the app not getting this far and the forum or monitering the sales would be pointless.
